So I am sitting there, watching a relatively interesting television show on Hulu, and on comes this commercial… again. I considered clawing my eyes out, but instead I will just share my disgust with the few eyeballs I have captive here on this blog.
It seems that Samsung and Verizon have abandoned designing their products with a teams of designers and engineers in order to provide their consumers with devices of competitive value. Nah, now they just go ahead make devices that go flippy this way and floppy that way in order to look good on a television commercial.
But of course, the television commercial that is created for this telephone is a touch creepy. Wikipedia claims that the “offcial song”… whatever the sprocket that means… is Jukebox Hero by Foreigner. A song that is just about as awesome as possible.
Did they rock this official diddy on the comerical? Nah, instead they had some moron repeat the phrase, “Watch me move, watch my juke.” Our society is doomed.
Design features? Technology? Did I forget that, yeah just like VeriSung. They advertise that it is both a phone AND it plays music. Really? WOW! That is such a new concept, it really warrants spending millions on commercials, I totally understand, really I do.
Then VeriSung go ahead, and name the phone the “Juke”. Maybe I am unique, but there are a few words in the English language that by their very existence in my vocabulary I am knocked down a peg or three.
Juke is one such word.
